Below is a sample learning module on musical texture, created with the Camtasia course authoring tool.

Camtasia was fun to use, and functions largley as a video importation and editing tool.

For this sample, I used Camtasia along with Finale Notepad, which is a music composition tool that can incorporate the use of a midi keyboard. I wanted to show the notes appearing on the staff as I played them on the keyboard. Finale Notepad is the free version of the program and only places the notes on the top or treble clef with midi interface. It also does not automatically notate rhythm. For an actual course design, I would use the full version of Finale.
